Itinerary
DAY 1
- ARRIVAL TO BALTRA – TRANSFER IN AIRPORT HOTEL ACCOMMODATION LUNCH – AFTERNOON VISIT CHARLES DARWIN STATION – DINNER.
DAY 2
- AFTER BREAKFAST VISIT TO TORTUGA BAY – VISIT THE CRACKS LUNCH- AND BEACH OF THE GERMANS – RETURN TO THE HOTEL DINNER.
DAY 3
- BREAKFAST- DEPARTURE TO VISIT THE ISLAND SANTA FE IN DAILY BOAT- ALMUERZO VISITS PLAYA ESCONDIDA- RETURN TO THE HOTEL – DINNER.
DAY 4
- AFTER BREAKFAST EXIT TO THE TWIN CRATERES- AND TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT FOR OUR EXIT FLIGHT.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VISITING PLACES.
DAY 1
View to the Charles Darwin Station – where we will be able to observe, to know the aging of the giant turtles of Galapagos.
DAY 2
VISIT TORTUGA BAY
Bahía Tortuga is a beautiful beach with white sand, which is named for being a nesting site for sea turtles. It is divided into two inlets: playa brava and playa mansa.
It can be accessed by means of panga or walking from Puerto Ayora (2.5 km from Baltra Avenue to the end of the brava beach). The estimated time of the walk is 50 minutes.
Between the brave beach and the mansa, there is a circular path that runs through the intertidal zone and crosses a tuna forest (opuntia sp) and ends a mangrove jeli area at the beginning of the mansa beach.
The brave beach is an ideal place to surf while the gentle beach is perfect for snorkeling and kayaking.
DAY 3
ISLA SANTA FE
This visit site is located at the northeast end of Santa Fe Island in a bay of turquoise waters and two white sand beaches.
It in habits the terrestrial iguana of Santa Fe which is larger, paler in color and with a biology very similar to the other species of terrestrial iguana.
DAY 4
CRATERES GEMELOS – AIRPORT
Los Gemelos is located in the upper part of the island of Santa Cruz, a few kilometers from Santa Rosa parish, next to the road that leads to Baltra, at an altitude of approximately 600mtrs in the of Scalesia area.
The Twins are considered crater holes and their formation was due to the collapse of surface materials inside underground chambers. It consists of two craters, on the east side is the smaller crater, whereas the largest crater is on the west side.
The Witch bird is the most outstanding land bird of the high parts of almost all the islands, the zone of the Twins is the best place for its observation, since they are in great numbers in the forest of Scalesia.
