SOUTHERN ANDEAN – 3D/2N
Discover the wonders that the southern Andean has to offer. Cross the Devil’s Nose aboard the most difficult train in the world, on the route Alausi – Sibambe. Also look the traces left by the Incas, walking around the vestiges preserved in an archaeological complex. You will be amazed with the beauty of Cuenca city walking along its streets because at any time in the day this city looks lovely. Adding to this experience, you can also shoot the best Andean landscapes in your walk through one of the Biosphere Reserves of the World.
Day 1: Quito – Alausi
Your trip starts in Quito, at 05h00, heading to the south of the country. The first stop is Riobamba; here you have some minutes for looking over the city, located close to the Chimborazo volcano. Upon arrive at Alausi, after having lunch, you board the train to the Devil’s Nose, known as the most difficult railway route in the world, you cross incredible cliffs and mountains until get Sibambe, visit its museum and share with indigenous people of the zone. Finally, you will return to Alausi and transfer to your site of accommodation for resting (Meals included: Lunch and dinner)
Day 2: Ingapirca – Cuenca
The first site for visiting this day is the Ingapirca Ruins, an important vestige of the Inca culture in Ecuador. Your trip continues towards Cuenca city, where you first have lunch and then have a city tour for visiting its emblematic places, such as the Broken Bridge, the Calderon Square, the Cathedral, the Church of San Blas, and the Flowers Market. In addition, you will enter to the Hat Museum, for learning about the process of making straw hats, known internationally as “Panama Hats”. Finally, you will be transferred to your hotel for relaxing with its facilities or, if you prefer, taking a night walking to continue admiring the city center. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Day 3: Cajas National Park – Quito
Very early you will transfer to the Cajas National Park, World Biosphere Reserve, for walking around the zone, look its wonderful lake complex and its Andean flora and fauna. You can also visit its interpretation center, before having lunch in the zone. In the afternoon, you are ready to return to Quito. Approximate arrival time 22:00 (Meals included, Breakfast and lunch).

In cases of force majeure and / or fortuitous event, the Operator reserves the right to make the respective modifications in the itinerary, trying to change as little as possible the travel proposal initially presented. Cases of force majeure are those unforeseen situations external to the nature of the tour, such as: natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, fires, floods, damages caused by landslides or earthquakes, pandemics or epidemics, popular demonstrations, road closures and / or factors of risk before which a state authority prohibits the entrance to a certain zone, etc.

In case of cancellation, the penalty is 30% of the total value if it’s made 20 days before the start of the tour and 100% if it’s made 5 days before the tour.
